Children's Services: The Children's Department serves youngsters from birth to sixth grade as well as their parents and caregivers. Our children's staff provides young people with story hours, special programs such as puppet shows and magic shows, and assistance in locating books and other materials of appeal and interest. Reference questions are answered, and assistance is given in selecting appropriate sources for reports and research projects. Library orientation tours and programs to day care centers and school groups visiting the library are available. An important goal of the Children's Department is to help the child develop lifelong love of books and libraries, and staff is always eager to suggest just the right book for reading enjoyment. We want every child to find a sense of wonder in the Children's Department.  Story Hour
