Support the Library

Fund community programs for adults and children

Fund services, technology, equipment and books not funded by library
budget. Fund professional performances of children's programs, Adult
programs - Florida Humanities Series, outreach programs in Bunnell and
other parts of Flagler County, Flagler Reads Together. Purchase
books and necessary technical items needed by library
Services
Actively supported Literacy Volunteers of America
Provided flyers, bookmarks and other incentives
Achieved tax-exempt status for "Friends" organization.

Funded annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon
Supported library volunteer programs
Continuing Education
Funded story-telling workshop for Children's Staff to enhance quality of programs.
Participated in regional and state workshops designed for library development
Funded attendance at FLA Annual Conference by library staff.

ADVOCACY
Lobbied local and state legislators for support of libraries.Sent
representatives to Library Day in Tallahassee and Florida Library Association Conference
in Tampa.
COLLECTIONS
Purchased books to enhance library collections
Purchased foreign language books including books in Russian
Purchased audio and videotapes for juvenile collection
Purchased audio videotapes for adults
Provided additional audio tapes through a lease program.
Supported collection for Summer Reading Program
Purchased Micro Film Reader/Printer and microfilms of Flagler newspapers
Purchased audio visual equipment and computers needed by library including
genealogy equipment and programs.
Fund-raiser
Maintained used book shoppe to benefit library
Book Sales at library as fund raiser
Programs
Funded the summer reading program which attracted more than 1,363
participants to the 13 programs held at the library and 825 participants to
the outreach programs held at various locations including new programs in
Bunnell.
Funded Adult Programs such as: Meet The Author, the Florida Humanities
Saturday Series, Music program. Funded children's programs and reading
programs. Funded Flagler Reads Together, and similar programs.
